August reflections: what I read last month…

August was an OK month for reading. Not the best – I got very bad food poisoning during my week off work (such bad timing!) and this meant I didn’t do any reading at all for a full week (that’s how I knew I was REALLY ill). Also, I’ve had a lot more plans after work and at the weekends, so I’ve definitely had less time for reading in general, but I’ve still managed to pack some great books in.

Here’s what I read during August…

That Night – Gillian McAllister [read my review here] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

True Crime Story – Joseph Knox [read my review here] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Lies We Tell – Jane Corry [read my review here] ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Small Pleasures – Clare Chambers [review coming soon] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Lucky Escape – Laura Jane Williams [read my review here] ⭐⭐⭐

The First Day of Spring – Nancy Tucker [review coming soon] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Risk of Harm – Lucie Whitehouse [review coming soon] ⭐⭐⭐⭐

What have you read in August? Any new favourites?
